.ILLINOIS CAMPGROUND RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. Campingislands.com, Inc. has worked for thirteen years to establish a beautiful natural campground on 45 acres of connected islands in the Rock River. A. Noise Policy. We have zero tolerance for any sounds which go beyond your campsite and potentially could interfere with other campers quiet enjoyment of a natural campground. Headphones are required to listen to music. If we hear it, you will be asked to leave and will receive NO REFUND. There will be no warning other than this warning. If in the opinion and sole discretion of the campground staff that a group has disturbed other campers quiet enjoyment, you will be asked to leave immediately and any difficulty with the same will result in a civil action, court costs, and attorney fees for the tort of intentional interference with our contract of quiet enjoyment of the campground. This will result in a minimum of $500 sought in court, plus court costs and campground attorney fees. If you think folks want to listen to your music, go somewhere else. B. No off road unlicensed vehicles may be used at the campground. This includes ATVs, mini bikes, go carts. The only exception is a golf cart where the only driver is the registered guest who is over 21 years of age, and all golf carts must stay on the campground road and have lights and rear lights for the safety of vehicles traveling at night. We will not debate with a camper who brings what he believes is a toy for children to ride around. Your entire group will be asked to leave with NO REFUNDS. Again, our goal is natural camping and not a great deal of vehicle movement once people arrive. Bring your supplies including water for your group as the State does not allow us to disburse potable water to campers. After 11 pm no vehicle should be traveling on the campground unless somebody is leaving. Anybody driving between 11 pm and 7am will be asked to leave. If you want to do night fishing in different locations during these hours.......WALK. Repeated entry and departure during the day will result in a warning, and after that warning each reentry will be penalized $5.00. Plan and enjoy the natural setting. In wet conditions damage off the roads to our landscaping will result in penalties being assessed to soil condition the damaged area and reseeding. C. The campground floods from time to time. If the river gauges indicate that a sudden storm has raised the river, some campers will be asked to leave low lying areas. The campground is not responsible for acts of god like flooding and lightning, and ask all campers to heed our warnings if an approaching storm or flood is coming. D. The campground for 13 years has been a no reservation campground. This year four premium sites will be developed as a trial of a reservation sysstem where a tent will have a canopy, fire pit, picnic table, led lights, and a marine battery. These sites require an additional $30.00 deposit for the site, and each individual camper pays their entry fee in addition to the site fee. Do not camp in these sites unless you have reserved the site. The balance of the campground remains no reservation, first come system. E. Fireworks, guns, bows, spears, pellet or BB guns are absolutely banned. Any
discharge of a firearm or open carry in public will result in an immediate criminal complaint. Conceal and carry permit holders must disclose at registration that they have a valid permit and a copy of the same will be retained by the campground at registration. F. All holidays are a three day minimum camping fee. All weekends from May 1 to October 31, are a two day minimum camping fee. Any camper who arrives after 5 pm on Saturday, or after 5 pm on the Sunday of Memorial Day, and Labor day will be given a discounted entry fee of $20.00. The per day camping fee per adult over 12 years of age during the week is $15 per night, $30 on 2 day minimum weekends, and $45 on three day holiday weekends. The fourth of July rates with different dates each year will be published by June 15th each year. G. Credit cards will now be accepted at the registration desk. An ATM machine is located at the Shell Station Across the street from the campground. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS ONCE YOU PAY YOUR CAMPING FEES AND ENTER THE CAMPGROUND. F. Firewood is $7 for one bundle, $14 for two bundles, $20 for three bundles, and $25 for four bundles. Campers may bring their own firewood, but NO construction material, pallets, or other household wood is allowed. It must be cut firewood to bring it into the campground. Picnic tables and firepits cannot be moved. You disconnect a picnic table or move a fire pit and you will be asked to leave, and will be charged $25 for moving them back to their designated spot. If you need an extra table, bring a folding table out for your group, but do not move picnic tables. No glass, nails or metal in firepits. G. Drive less than 10mph as children may not be seen at higher speeds. H. Our pet policy is no aggressive breeds, but we allow dogs as long as the owner controls the dog. Dogs are welcome to swim in the river and back channels. I. We have one flush porta potty which is open from 7am to 11pm. We have ten porta potties which are always open. Please do not dispose of diapers or put other large items as it clogs our sanitary pumper truck. J. No fireworks. If we hear a gunshot or firework from your general area, we will not debate if you did it. We will simply ask you to leave. K. Please bring smaller garbage bags as the dumpster is more efficiently filled with small bags. Also, the campers are responsible for all garbage getting put in the dumpster. Our experienced guests make a garbage run when they leave the campground for the store, and in that way do not have large bags to dispose of when they leave after camping. L. The river is in a natural state, and the main channel has swift currents. Always wear a life preserver when swimming and be careful of submerged debris which can catch a person swimming in the river. The inside channels are slow moving water, but still be careful if you decide to go into the river.
Enjoy you stay by following these simple rules
